A law firm seeks an Innovation Attorney to join their team in Houston, TX, with the option for 100% remote work within the United States. The role focuses on enhancing the delivery of legal services through people, process, and technology, specifically within the Finance business units. The position involves collaboration across various offices, practice groups, and departments to execute projects and initiatives.

Duties

• Lead efforts to optimize client service delivery and increase efficiencies in Finance business units.
• Develop and automate precedent libraries and organize deal documents.
• Collaborate with the Research & Information team to integrate practice content into workflows.
• Support projects to improve client-facing solutions and streamline legal services.
• Lead digitalization projects, including automation and data capture.
• Oversee technology onboarding and adoption within business units.
• Develop and deliver training curriculum and knowledge sharing initiatives.
• Integrate AI into legal practice to enhance service delivery.
• Evaluate legal service delivery efficiency and identify improvement opportunities.
• Educate legal professionals on practice content and technology initiatives.
• Develop case studies for marketing and maintain business unit resources.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited institution and admission to practice in a US jurisdiction.
• Minimum of four years of experience as a Finance attorney in a large law firm.
• Superior communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle diverse situations.
• Familiarity with legal technology and AI applications in legal services.
• Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across organizational levels.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.

Education

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited university or college.
