Mid-Level Global Finance Associate

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is actively seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Associate Attorney with 4–6 years of experience to join its Global Finance Practice Group in New York. This role involves representing top-tier financial institutions, including banks, nonbank lenders, private debt funds, and hedge funds, in a wide variety of finance transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex credit arrangements and transaction execution. Asset-based lending experience is considered a plus.

Location:

• New York, NY

Duties:

• Represent financial institutions in executing complex finance transactions

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of credit agreements and related documentation

• Advise clients on legal risk and compliance in structuring finance deals

• Work closely with clients including private debt funds, BDCs, mezzanine funds, and hedge funds

• Coordinate with internal teams and outside counsel to manage deal execution

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of finance law and industry best practices

Requirements:

• 4 to 6 years of relevant legal experience in finance transactions

• Experience handling credit arrangements; asset-based lending experience is a plus

• Prior experience at a national or international law firm

• Strong transaction management skills and client service orientation

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a nationally accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to practice in the State of New York (must be in good standing)
