A law firm seeks an experienced Energy Regulatory Associate to join its team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role involves representing major utility clients in regulatory proceedings and offers significant exposure to clients and trial-type regulatory proceedings before public service commissions.

Duties

• Represent clients in rate cases and regulatory compliance work.
• Assist with energy regulatory aspects of transactions.
• Support natural gas companies in FERC proceedings.
• Engage in pre-rate case settlement negotiations.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of energy regulatory or civil litigation experience preferred.
• Excellent academic credentials and communication skills.
• Strong project management abilities.
• Commitment to client service and teamwork.
• NC bar membership or eligibility to obtain it within 6 months.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• NC bar membership or ability to obtain.
