Associate Attorney Litigation

Profile

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its growing team in Beaumont, TX. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in litigation matters. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong legal judgment, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Duties:

• Handle complex litigation matters from pre-suit through settlement or trial.
• Provide legal counsel to clients, maintaining confidentiality and promoting positive client relations.
• Conduct legal research, draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
• Work closely with senior attorneys in case preparation and strategy development.
• Represent clients in court, hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
• Travel as needed for client meetings, court appearances, and depositions.
• Assist with marketing and client development efforts as part of the firm's business development initiatives.

Requirements:

• Admission to practice law in the State of Texas.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in litigation, particularly in malpractice law.
• Proven ability to handle complex cases and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining attention to detail.
• Comfortable with travel and meeting clients on-site as necessary.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Texas (required).

Skills:

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple case files simultaneously.
