A law firm seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its San Francisco office. The ideal candidate will have experience in complex business litigation in state and federal courts and demonstrate strong legal writing and advocacy skills.

Duties

• Conduct and manage written and document discovery.
• Research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Prepare witnesses for testimony.
• Appear for status conferences and argue motions in court.
• Participate in settlement conferences and negotiations.
• Assist with trial preparation.

Requirements

• 3rd-4th year associate experience in commercial litigation.
• Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic.
• Comfortable with direct interaction with partners and clients.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.

Education

• JD from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Active member of the California Bar in good standing.

Skills

• Persuasive legal writing and oral advocacy.
• Experience with complex business litigation.
• Positive attitude and intellectual curiosity.
