A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Chicago, IL. The role involves supporting senior attorneys and paralegals in immigration matters, with a focus on developing case management skills and substantive immigration knowledge.

Duties

• Support senior attorneys and paralegal account managers in visa application preparation.
• Review case files, profiles, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Review client documents for sufficiency and escalate gaps to senior attorneys.
• Provide feedback on H-1B and LCA forms prepared by paralegals.
• Assist with drafting and reviewing support letters using firm templates.
• Conduct final application reviews prior to filing.
• Monitor emails and respond to internal and external inquiries as appropriate.
• Assist in the PERM-based green card process and dependent visa application reviews.
• Develop familiarity with RFE response drafting under supervision.

Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar license or pending bar exam results with license expected within 9 months.
• Presence in Chicago.
• 1-3 years of prior corporate immigration experience required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.)
