Duties:
Manage bodily injury and related insurance defense litigation matters
Conduct pre-suit investigations and develop trial strategies
Attend court proceedings, including depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials
Draft and file pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
Prepare and summarize reports for litigation events and case evaluations
Communicate with clients and opposing counsel regarding case status and strategy
Collaborate with internal legal teams to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in bodily injury, personal injury, or medical malpractice
Experience as an Assistant State Attorney or Assistant Public Defender also considered
First-chair trial experience preferred
Strong knowledge of Florida state and local litigation rules and procedures
Ability to manage multiple complex cases in a fast-paced legal environment
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in the State of Florida
Member in good standing with the Florida Bar
Skills:
Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
Strong understanding of litigation management software and document storage systems
Proficiency in handling electronically stored case files
Effective time management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with litigation teams
