Law Students / Interns
The candidate will assist volunteer and staff attorneys in providing pro bono consultations and/or direct legal representation of veterans in need of legal services in a variety of legal practice areas. May be involved in conducting legal assessments, drafting of documents, research, locating resources, and full blown litigation with clients depending on the scope of your volunteer assignment. Law students and interns will be part of a multidisciplinary team to clear obstacles and barriers to success as these clients resume life in the community once again. Law students and interns will be be assisted by firm's staff, volunteer attorneys and paralegals. All volunteering law students and interns will be supervised by the firm's Supervising Attorney. 2L and 3L law students may apply for both pro bono hours and certified internships provided they have met the requirements for such with the California State Bar.
