A law firm seeks an experienced Senior Counsel - Business Attorney to join its corporate and transactional practice in Omaha, Nebraska. This full-time, in-person role is ideal for an attorney with a strong private-practice background who enjoys advising closely held and middle-market businesses.

Duties

• Advise business owners on succession planning and ownership transitions.
• Manage entity formation, restructuring, and governance matters.
• Lead and support mergers and acquisitions.
• Serve as a trusted business advisor to clients.
• Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate across practice areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; active bar admission.
• Minimum of 6 years of private practice experience.
• Experience with closely held businesses, including succession planning, governance, and M&A.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Must be currently licensed in Nebraska or eligible to become licensed; other state licenses considered.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
