Responsibilities

• Represent clients in misdemeanor and felony criminal matters

• Conduct client consultations and develop case strategies

• Appear in court for arraignments, hearings, motions, trials, and sentencing

• Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and legal correspondence

• Negotiate effectively with prosecutors and opposing counsel

• Prepare thoroughly for contested hearings and jury trials

• Maintain regular communication with clients and their families

• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure exceptional client service

• Uphold strict confidentiality and ethical standards

• Build and maintain strong professional relationships within the legal community

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction

• Criminal defense experience preferred

• Strong courtroom presence and litigation skills

• Excellent writing, negotiation, and communication abilities

• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple active cases

• Professional, dependable, and self-motivated

• Comfortable balancing compassion for clients with toughness in advocacy
