Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a highly motivated Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience to join its dynamic Litigation Practice Team. The firm handles a broad range of complex litigation matters, representing clients ranging from individuals and closely held businesses to large multinational corporations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in high-level litigation, including appearances in state, federal, and appellate courts, as well as administrative boards, agencies, and mediation panels. This role involves handling cases in diverse areas, such as business litigation, corporate dissolutions, labor and employment, environmental law, consumer finance, and more.

Duties:

• Represent clients in state, federal, and appellate courts
• Engage in arbitration, mediation, and before governmental/administrative agencies
• Handle complex business litigation, corporate dissolutions, labor and employment disputes, environmental matters, real estate, and family law cases
• Provide direct legal counsel and maintain client relationships
• Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare strategies for litigation
• Assist in negotiating settlements and preparing case files for trial
• Work collaboratively within a team and maintain regular communication with clients

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in litigation
• Ability to manage complex legal matters across a variety of practice areas
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Experience in one or more of the focus areas is preferred
• Must hold a valid Florida Bar license
• A book of business is a plus

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Florida Bar license (required)

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and writing abilities
• Strong litigation advocacy skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing deadlines
• Proficiency in using legal research tools and case management software
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
