Duties

• Lead the implementation of legal advocacy strategies.
• Develop and supervise complex civil rights cases in federal and state courts.
• Manage litigation teams, providing mentoring and coaching.
• Collaborate with policy and communications departments to support legal strategies.
• Serve as a public thought leader and represent the firm in various public venues.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and legal allies.
• Hire, mentor, and train staff, conducting performance reviews.
• Perform other duties as required within the job scope.

Requirements

• At least eight years of federal court civil litigation or comparable legal experience.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience managing legal professionals.
• Membership in good standing of at least one state bar in the United States, preferably in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, or Washington, D.C.

Education

• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Membership in good standing of a state bar.
