Profile

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney for their Syracuse, NY office. The Litigation Attorney will manage cases in construction, commercial, insurance, and personal injury practices from inception through trial. The ideal candidate will be licensed in the State of New York and have a strong desire to work as a litigation attorney.

Duties:

• Manage cases in construction, commercial, insurance, and personal injury practices from inception through trial.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Represent clients in negotiations and settlement discussions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff on case strategy and development.
• Ensure compliance with legal deadlines and requirements.

Requirements:

• 3-10 years of litigation experience.
• Licensed to practice law in the State of New York.
• Desire to work as a litigation attorney.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in the State of New York.
