Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate for its Litigation group, specializing in Class Actions, in Reston, VA. This role is open to candidates across the US, with a preference for those based in the New York metropolitan area.

Duties

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
• Draft well-reasoned legal documents, including briefs and motions.
• Manage complex cases from inception to resolution.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies.
• Participate in court hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations.
• Engage in professional development and community involvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Experience with class action defense, including securities, data, and privacy litigation.
• Experience managing multi-matter dockets.
• Previous federal clerkship is preferred.
• Strong persuasive legal writing skills.
• Experience in large-scale discovery.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD)
