Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Junior Associate to join its Litigation group in Miami, FL. The successful candidate will support the Business and Commercial subgroup, engaging in meaningful legal work and contributing to the firm's success.

Duties

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
• Draft legal documents, including briefs, motions, and contracts.
• Assist in the preparation of court filings and other legal documentation.
• Participate in client meetings, providing support and taking detailed notes.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and trials to observe and assist senior attorneys.
• Review and organize case files and evidence.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties as needed.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client and firm matters.
• Engage in pro bono work to provide legal assistance to underserved communities.

Requirements

• JD degree with strong litigation experience across various practices.
• Completion of a federal or state supreme court judicial clerkship is required.
• Prior law firm experience is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD)

Certifications

• Bar admission in the state of Florida or eligibility to waive in.
