This position involves providing comprehensive legal advice on tax-related matters to individual and business clients, handling corporate formation, acquisitions, mergers, restructurings, and other transactional needs. The attorney will also offer guidance on federal and state tax implications, choice of entity, federal tax audits, administrative appeals, and managing state and local taxing authorities.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel to clients on federal, state, and local tax issues.
• Assist clients with corporate formation, acquisitions, mergers, and restructurings.
• Offer guidance on federal and state tax implications, choice of entity, and federal tax audits.
• Manage administrative appeals and interactions with state and local taxing authorities.

Requirements:

• J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation required; willingness to take the LA Bar if licensed outside of LA.
• Excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to take initiative while collaborating effectively within a team.
• Superior academic credentials and impeccable research and writing skills.
• Strict attention to detail and meeting filing deadlines.
• Previous CPA certification, government experience, and/or knowledge of international tax issues are advantageous.

Education:

• J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation

Certifications:

• Admission to the Louisiana State Bar (if not already licensed in LA)
