Job Title: Professional Liability Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm located in Roseland, NJ, is seeking a litigation associate with approximately 2-5 years of experience to support its expanding professional liability practice. The role offers the opportunity to collaborate within a dynamic, team-based litigation group focusing on construction defect, design professional liability, employment defense, and other professional errors and omissions matters. This position is ideal for someone looking to deepen their litigation expertise under the mentorship of senior attorneys and gradually take on increased case management responsibilities within a growth-oriented legal environment.

Duties:

• Assist with legal matters involving professional liability, including:

  • Construction defect litigation

  • Design professional liability

  • Employment-related claims

  • Other errors and omissions issues

• Conduct legal research, draft motions, and prepare pleadings

• Attend depositions, court hearings, and client meetings as appropriate

• Participate in trial preparation and assist with case strategy development

• Collaborate with experienced litigators in a team-oriented setting

• Engage in professional development through feedback and mentorship

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of litigation experience, ideally with exposure to professional liability matters

• Strong interest in growing a practice in the areas of professional negligence and employment law defense

• Ability to contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced legal team

• Enthusiasm for direct client interaction and long-term practice development

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey

• Additional Bar admissions are a plus
