Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Patent Prosecution & Litigation Technical Advisor to join their team specializing in Electrical Engineering & Software. The position is ideal for individuals with a background in electrical engineering or computer science, particularly those passionate about patent law. While previous experience in intellectual property is not required, a strong academic background and excellent communication skills are essential.

Duties:

• Support patent prosecution and litigation efforts by providing technical expertise in electrical engineering and software.
• Assist in preparing and filing patent applications related to wireless communication, including but not limited to 5G, 6G, and 3GPP standards.
• Collaborate with attorneys to evaluate patentability, analyze technical documents, and draft technical reports.
• Conduct prior art searches and analysis to support patent prosecution and litigation efforts.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both legal and technical teams.
• Stay informed on the latest developments in electrical engineering, software, and relevant patent law.
• Provide support in client meetings and discussions regarding technical aspects of cases.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize and analyze complex technical information.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within teams.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.

Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge in electrical engineering and/or software development.
• Experience with wireless communication technologies (5G, 6G, 3GPP) is a plus.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technical and legal concepts.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
