A law firm seeks an experienced Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will take ownership of personal injury cases from intake through settlement, developing strategies and driving cases forward. This role requires strong legal judgment, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to client service.

Duties

• Conduct strategic investigations into liability, damages, and case value.
• Analyze medical records, evidence, and other case-related documentation.
• Develop case strategy and identify opportunities to maximize value.
• Draft and review demand packages and other legal documents.
• Negotiate with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
• Evaluate settlement offers and make strategic recommendations.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the legal and factual issues affecting each case.
• Collaborate with legal assistants, case managers, and other professionals.

Requirements

• Active attorney in good standing.
• 5+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of Illinois personal injury law and procedures.
• Experience managing a significant personal injury caseload.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to evaluate risk and leverage.
• Confident and empathetic communication with clients.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
