Assistant Corporation Counsel-Civil Litigation
Candidate will handle complex civil litigation in state and federal court on behalf of the City and its employees. Will defend a wide variety of claims including civil rights violations, employment discrimination, personal injury, property damage, contract disputes and more. Must be able to independently manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, trials and appeals. Trial and other courtroom experience is available. Must have superior analytical, writing and oral advocacy skills, and must be able to handle a heavy caseload. Will consider attorneys will all levels of litigation experience.
