A law firm seeks an Environmental Associate with 2-4 years of experience to join their team in Washington, DC. The role involves handling a wide range of environmental issues, including due diligence, risk mitigation, compliance, enforcement, and litigation.

Duties

• Conduct environmental due diligence and evaluate risk mitigation in transactions.
• Address compliance issues under RCRA, CERCLA, CAA, CWA, TSCA, FIFRA, and state laws.
• Manage environmental enforcement matters and climate disclosure issues.
• Litigate agency challenges under the Administrative Procedure Act and environmental statutes.

Requirements

• Admitted to D.C. Bar or eligible to waive in.
• 2-4 years' experience in environmental law.
• Experience advising energy industry companies preferred.
• Experience with OCSLA and oil and gas activities on public lands and offshore waters is a plus.

Education

• Strong academic credentials required.

Certifications

• Bar admission in D.C.
