General Liability Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney for its Irvine, CA location. The General Liability Associate Attorney will handle local and national accounts throughout California, independently managing a litigation caseload. They will conduct depositions, prepare witnesses for deposition and trial, review and analyze discovery requests, and prepare court filings. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in relevant practice areas and possess superior research and writing skills.

Duties:

• Handle local and national accounts throughout California
• Independently manage a litigation caseload
• Conduct depositions
• Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial
• Review and analyze discovery requests
• Prepare and respond to discovery responses and pleadings
• Prepare court filings and service to counsel, including experience with e-filing
• Provide trial preparation and support
• Maintain accurate time records

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in the state of California
• 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following practice areas: product liability, transportation, aviation, and premises liability
• Experience with motion practice and depositions
• Experience taking lead in plaintiff and expert depositions
• Superior research and writing skills

Education:

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admitted to practice in the state of California
