Duties

• Represent clients in probate matters, including independent and dependent administration.
• Advise clients on creating comprehensive estate plans, including wills and trusts.
• Draft, review, and revise legal documents with precision.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on Texas Estates Code.
• Communicate effectively with clients and court staff.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies.
• Manage case files and maintain organized documentation.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and client meetings.
• Oversee paralegals and legal assistants to prioritize tasks.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas and in good standing.
• 2-5 years of experience in probate or estate planning.
• Strong knowledge of Texas Estates Code and estate planning principles.
• Exceptional drafting and legal research skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Proactive and self-motivated attitude.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in fiduciary litigation or contested probate cases.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
• Familiarity with legal case management software.
• Knowledge of tax considerations in estate planning.

Education

Certifications
