Job Overview:
A Minneapolis-based law firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its Product Liability, Complex Torts, and Business Litigation practice areas. This opportunity, offered through a legal recruitment agency, is ideal for a candidate with early-career litigation experience who is eager to handle substantial responsibilities in active litigation matters. The role involves strategic legal analysis, direct client engagement, and active participation in all phases of litigation.

Duties:

• Prepare and respond to discovery requests and manage document productions

• Conduct legal research and draft persuasive motions and memoranda

• Participate in depositions, including preparation, defense, and execution

• Coordinate with expert witnesses, including vetting and discovery processes

• Contribute to case strategy and preparation for hearings, mediations, and trials

• Assist lead attorneys with trial preparation and courtroom support

• Engage in client communication and ongoing relationship development

• Support marketing and client development initiatives for the practice group

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in product liability, complex torts, or business litigation

• Demonstrated skill in legal research, motion drafting, and oral advocacy

• Strong time management and organizational abilities

• Interest in taking on client-facing responsibilities and courtroom exposure

• Minnesota Bar admission (or immediate eligibility for admission) is required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Minnesota or pending eligibility

Skills:

• Excellent written and oral communication

• Strong analytical reasoning and legal argumentation

• Professional judgment and ability to work both independently and in team settings

• Adaptability in a fast-paced litigation environment
