A law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney for their Portland, OR, office. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of experience with all phases of litigation, outstanding legal research and writing skills, and the ability to work well independently and on a team.

Job Overview:

The Litigation Attorney will handle various matters involving business, contract, health care, and real property disputes. They will conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and represent clients in court proceedings.

Duties:

• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, hearings, and trial
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
• Represent clients in court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution methods
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
• Manage caseload efficiently and effectively prioritize tasks

Requirements:

• Oregon State Bar member in good standing
• 3+ years of litigation experience
• Strong academic background
• Interest in litigation involving business, contract, health care, and real property disputes
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Certifications:

• Oregon State Bar membership

• Proficiency in legal research and writing
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues
• Strong advocacy and negotiation skills

Preferred:

• Trial experience
• Washington State Bar license
