Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join their team in Edison, New Jersey. This role involves establishing foundational operations, designing systems, and ensuring excellence in handling personal injury cases. Initially remote, the position will transition to in-office leadership as the physical office opens in the Edison/Newark area.

Duties

• Build comprehensive SOPs for New Jersey personal injury operations.
• Develop standardized templates, pleadings, and case workflows.
• Establish quality benchmarks and communication protocols.
• Manage a reduced caseload of personal injury cases.
• Conduct client interviews, case evaluations, and discovery.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal filings.
• Negotiate with insurance carriers and defense counsel.
• Represent clients in mediations, depositions, and court proceedings.
• Train, mentor, and guide local staff as the office grows.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the New Jersey office and firm leadership.

Requirements

• Active New Jersey Bar license.
• Minimum 5+ years of personal injury experience.
• Success in creating or implementing law firm processes or SOPs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of professionalism and client-centered judgment.
• Proven ability to lead with structure and inspire operational discipline.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active New Jersey Bar license.

• Strong command of pre-litigation and litigation processes.
• Proficiency in drafting workflows and policy documentation.
