A reputable immigration law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to manage and oversee the preparation of responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs), and Notices of Intent to Revoke (NOIRs) for family- and humanitarian-based immigration cases. This role serves as a subject matter expert and legal resource for both attorneys and legal support staff. The position is ideal for an attorney with a strong background in immigration law who is passionate about helping clients overcome complex legal challenges and achieve lawful status in the United States.
Review and analyze USCIS correspondence including RFEs, NOIDs, and NOIRs
Prepare legal responses and support related filings for family-based and humanitarian applications
Provide legal guidance and escalation support to non-attorney team members
Monitor and respond to trends or changes in immigration policies that affect filing strategies
Edit and finalize RFE responses prepared by attorneys and legal staff
Provide onboarding and continuing legal education for new and current team members
Audit work products to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency across teams
Communicate directly with clients as needed for legal questions or escalated issues
Collaborate with internal legal operations teams to meet performance goals and deadlines
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in immigration law, specifically handling family- and humanitarian-based cases
Familiarity with VAWA, T-Visas, U-Visas, Medical Deferred Action, I-130, Adjustment of Status, and related applications
Experience responding to RFEs, NOIDs, and NOIRs preferred
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
Active license and in good standing with a state bar
Ability to manage complex caseloads in a fast-paced environment
Strong collaboration and mentoring abilities
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited institution
Admission to a U.S. state bar in good standing
Strong written and oral advocacy skills
High attention to detail and consistency in legal documentation
Ability to mentor and train attorneys and support staff
Leadership mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a plus
Adaptability and enthusiasm for legal innovation and continuous improvement
