Job Overview:
A well-established and rapidly growing plaintiff-side personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced and driven attorney to join its litigation team in Cleveland, OH. This full-time, in-office position focuses on pre-litigation and litigation management of personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will lead case strategy, client interaction, and negotiations, working collaboratively with paralegals and case managers to ensure client satisfaction and optimal results.

Location:

• Cleveland, Ohio

Duties:

• Conduct initial client intake and provide case consultations

• Perform comprehensive medical case reviews

• Draft and argue legal documents including liability memos, demands, and motions

• Negotiate settlements in pre-suit and litigation stages

• Review insurance policies, claims files, and other case-related records

• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and medical care

• Oversee and manage a team of paralegals and case managers

• Attend Independent Medical Examinations (IME), Examinations Under Oath (EUO), and recorded statements

• Ensure all legal deadlines are met and maintain compliance with firm protocols

• Handle a docket of cases independently and efficiently

• Perform additional duties as needed by management

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience handling personal injury cases (pre-litigation and/or litigation)

• Proven ability to negotiate and settle cases successfully

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and analysis

• Intermediate to advanced computer and administrative skills

• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently

• High level of professionalism and confidentiality

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Must be licensed and in good standing to practice law in the state of Ohio

Skills:

• Legal writing and argumentation
