A prominent law firm is seeking a Mid/Senior Level Attorney with 4–6 years of experience to support its Bankruptcy, Workout, and Restructuring practice. This role involves representing a variety of stakeholders including lenders, creditors, debtors, and official committees in business bankruptcy and financial restructuring matters. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in bankruptcy law, a proactive work ethic, and excellent writing skills, with the ability to contribute effectively in a collaborative legal environment.

Location:

• Uniondale, NY

Duties:

• Represent lenders and finance parties in loan workouts and restructurings

• Assist in business bankruptcy matters on behalf of debtors, creditors, and official committees

• Handle various aspects of bankruptcy proceedings, including motion practice, plan confirmation, and litigation

• Draft and review legal documents, including restructuring agreements and court filings

• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy

• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to drive efficient and favorable outcomes

Requirements:

• 4–6 years of relevant legal experience in bankruptcy, workouts, and restructurings

• Demonstrated experience representing parties in Chapter 11 and other business bankruptcy proceedings

• Ability to manage cases independently and contribute to a team-based legal practice

• Strong initiative and professional judgment in handling complex financial matters

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in relevant jurisdiction(s)

Skills:

• Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills

• Knowledge of bankruptcy law and financial restructuring practices

• Effective oral communication and advocacy abilities
