Job Overview: A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a highly qualified Machine Learning Technology Specialist to contribute to patent prosecution efforts, providing expertise in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with a focus on Machine Learning and Neural Networks. The ideal candidate will play a key role in drafting patent applications, corresponding with patent offices, advising litigation teams, and conducting inventor interviews.

Duties:

• Draft patent applications for innovative clients, including detailed descriptions and figures.
• Correspond with the patent office regarding pending patent applications.
• Advise patent litigation teams based on technical and scientific expertise in Machine Learning.
• Conduct interviews with inventors to gather information about new ideas.

Requirements:

• Strong background in either Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Extensive experience in Machine Learning, including neural networks and deep learning algorithms.
• Implementation of Machine Learning/Neural Network concepts in hardware.
• Advanced degree in relevant field (preferred).
• 2+ years of patent prosecution experience.
• Superior writing skills with excellent academic credentials.
• Registration before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office is preferred.

Education:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (preferred).

Certifications:

• Registration before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (preferred).

Skills:

• Proficiency in drafting comprehensive patent applications.
• In-depth knowledge of Machine Learning, neural networks, and deep learning algorithms.
• Strong technical and scientific expertise in the chosen field.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills for collaboration with patent litigation teams.
• Superior writing skills for effective patent prosecution.
• Registration before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office is a plus.
