Assistant Prosecutor

Looking for someone who wants to make a difference in their community!  The candidate will gain immediate courtroom experience and will assume an active adult felony caseload.

Primary responsibilities include:

Working with law enforcement, victims and witnesses in preparing cases; reviewing search warrants; presenting cases to the grand jury; handling pretrial motions and negotiations, trial, and post-conviction matters including appeals; frequent court appearances in common pleas court for arraignments, pretrial hearings, trials, sentencings, post-conviction proceedings on assigned cases; assists other Assistant County Prosecutors as needed in the preparation and presentation of criminal cases; writes appellate briefs and prosecutes appeals.

Must be currently admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio and in good standing. Must also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized, and be self-motivated.

Salary depends on experience.
