Securities and Capital Markets Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm based in Chicago is seeking a Securities and Capital Markets Associate Attorney with strong transactional skills and experience in public company equity and debt capital markets, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) compliance and reporting. The Securities and Capital Markets Associate Attorney will handle a variety of transactional matters, including public company equity and debt offerings, M&A transactions, and SEC compliance and reporting. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a strong understanding of corporate and securities law.

Duties:

• Work on public company equity and debt capital markets transactions
• Assist with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions
• Ensure compliance with SEC regulations and reporting requirements
• Draft and review legal documents and agreements
• Communicate with clients and counterparties
• Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in corporate, securities, capital markets, and M&A transactions
• Experience working for an AM Law 100 or 200 law firm
• JD degree with strong academic credentials
• Admission in (and in good standing with) the applicable jurisdiction

Education:

JD degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission in (and in good standing with) the applicable jurisdiction
