A law firm in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Managed Care Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will possess 2-3 years of experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration, with a strong background in managed care or health care. This role requires excellent academic credentials, advanced writing and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases and regulatory matters.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Case Management: Manage and litigate managed care and health care cases, ensuring effective legal representation and case progress.
• Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing legal counsel, coordinating case activities, and maintaining robust client relationships.
• Regulatory Compliance: Oversee regulatory and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
• Legal Documentation: Conduct thorough legal research, and draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Litigation Strategy: Develop and implement litigation strategies, collaborating with senior attorneys and other associates to advance case objectives.
• Representation: Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitration sessions, and settlement negotiations.
• Coordination: Collaborate with other associates and support staff to manage cases and streamline legal processes.
• Legal Updates: Stay informed about changes in managed care and health care regulations to provide accurate and up-to-date legal advice.

Requirements

• Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Certification: Active membership in good standing of the California State Bar.
• Experience: 2-3 years of law firm or relevant in-house experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration.
• Specialization: Managed care or health care experience is required.
• Skills:
  • Strong writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and regulatory/compliance matters effectively.
  • Significant case management and client counseling experience preferred.
