Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in removal defense cases, including hearings and trials before immigration courts.
  • Handle family-based petitions, such as green card applications, waivers, and consular processing.
  • Conduct client interviews, develop case strategies, and prepare necessary immigration filings.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys on complex immigration cases.
  • Perform legal research, write briefs, and prepare legal memoranda.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and manage case deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Admission to the bar in any U.S. state, with a preference for Georgia.
  • 1-3 years of experience in immigration law, particularly in removal defense and family-based immigration, is preferred.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in a second language (Spanish preferred, but not required).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in any U.S. state.

Skills:

  • Proficient in immigration law procedures, particularly regarding removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple cases and deadlines.
