A law firm seeks a Litigation Special Counsel with 2 to 7 years of experience to join the Litigation Department in Miami, Orlando, or Tampa. This full-time position supports the Construction Practice Group and requires autonomy and focus, particularly in arbitration settings.

Duties

• Manage a high volume of litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions.
• Argue motions in court and participate in depositions.
• Engage in mediation, arbitration, and litigation of insurance and construction claims.
• Settle cases effectively and efficiently.
• Organize and manage time effectively.
• Oversee a team of paralegals and support staff.

Requirements

• 2 to 7 years of litigation experience.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Experience in mediation, arbitration, and litigation preferred.
• Proven track record in settling cases.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience managing a team beneficial.

Education

• JD from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
