Assistant General Counsel-Pharmacy Operations
The candidate will be responsible for providing legal counsel and guidance to firm's United Health System, its eleven hospital members including, firm's University Hospitals, and the four clinical practice plans of firm's University (collectively, the Organizations), specifically in the areas of pharmacy operations, pharmacy business operations, compliance and state and federal pharmacy law. Will be responsible for the day-to-day advice and counsel in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a wide range of agreements in connection with the Organizations’ supply chain, contract pharmacies, vendors, and Business partners. Also responsible for other day-to-day duties as assigned by the AGC and/or the Vice President and General Counsel (GC). Should have Juris Doctor degree. Must have West Virginia Bar membership or eligibility. Should have 5+ years of substantial experience in a law firm or in-house legal department in the areas of corporate, contract, and regulatory law, preferably with experience in the following areas (i) pharmaceutical law, (ii) contracts, or (iii) Medicare Fraud and Abuse and Stark laws, and/or (iv) 340B.
