Workers Compensation Attorney

A law firm in Savannah is seeking a Workers Compensation Attorney with 2+ years of experience. The role involves opening new files, conducting client interviews, investigating cases, managing medical care, and maintaining communication with clients and insurance companies.

Duties:

• Open new files and make initial client contact, maintaining regular communication throughout the case
• Fully investigate each case, gathering and analyzing intake information and relevant documents
• Enter pertinent information into the database and maintain accurate records
• Verify insurance coverage and liability issues, maintaining contact with insurance companies
• Manage clients' medical care, scheduling appointments, and explaining procedures and documentation
• Continuously monitor case status and review medical records
• Organize and maintain case files, preparing them to be submitted to demand writers
• Multi-task in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Provide excellent customer service, demonstrating time management and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Develop working relationships with clients, field associates, and vendors
• Work independently and in a team environment while maintaining confidentiality
• Demonstrate proficiency in written and verbal communication
• Maintain consistent attendance, reliability, and integrity
• Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology is a plus
• Spanish-speaking abilities are a plus

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in Workers Compensation
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited university
• Admission to the Florida Bar
