Counsel
The candidate will review marketing and advertising content for interactive media as well as investment advisory services. Advise internal clients on a wide array of matters including marketing and promotions, e-commerce, social media and intellectual property. Draft and review nondisclosure agreements, advertising and other commercial agreements. Work with other members of the legal department to develop compliance and other internal policies. Reconciling business needs with regulatory and legal requirements. Writing clearly and communicating legal concepts to non-lawyers, Working both independently and collaboratively with teams across the company. Should have J.D. Must be Good standing membership in at least one U.S. state Bar. 2+ years of legal experience in a law firm or company is required. Specific knowledge of and demonstrated practical experience with federal and state laws and regulations related to marketing, advertising, and consumer protection preferred. Knowledge or interest in securities regulation, commercial agreements, or intellectual property is required.
