This role is responsible for the execution of tactical tasks in the management of technology assets, focusing on optimizing the value and cost of technology assets throughout their life. Tasks range across various processes spanning the technology life cycle from asset procurement, operation, refresh, migration, optimization, and retirement/disposal of the asset. The IT Asset Management Specialist assists the IT Asset Manager in the governance of this life cycle and providing an accurate account of all technology asset life cycle costs to improve management of assets within the organization. Technology assets can be owned and managed by IT, third-party service providers, or business units outside IT.

The role is regionally focused with general objectives to include:

Maintenance of data associated with IT Assets: entitlements, maintenance contracts, fixed asset inventory,

Execution of processes to obtain new IT Assets, renew maintenance contracts, asset allocation, and asset reclamation.

As an entry level role the focus will specifically be on managing the global fleet of Cellular assets through all asset life cycle stages with focus on cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and maintain a global list of all purchased cellular devices and plans with associated team member information.

Global Cellular contract management

Negotiate all cellular contracts globally with support from regional experts in alignment with Husky standard contract negotiation practices

Process ex

ecution for hardware asset acquisition and peripherals

Input Purchase Requisition

Facilitate installation of asset with technical resources

Ensure costs are accounted to proper business department / group

Assess and modify cellular plans to meet changing business needs

Update plans to support travel for functionality and cost optimization

Change plans to more cost effective options within the contract structure

Collaborate with contracted managed service

Invoice consolidation and analysis

Billing charge back to department / group

Provide reports to team members and and Husky Leaders about usage and spend

Support various cost savings initiatives across all aspects of cellular asset management

Other clerical administrative tasks not related to cellular management as assigned. Examples:

Making travel arrangements and expense booking for local campus

Coordinating team events and celebrations

Supporting facilities needs for team on local campus: maintenance tickets, relocations, office supply needs, Day One Provisioning support

Surveys for team Town Hall and other events

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Required:

Tactical execution across various processes with great attention to detail

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

Team player, in a fast-paced environment; comfortable interfacing with cross-functional global groups with minimal supervision

Fluent in English, additional language skills considered an asset

Qualifications:

2 years prior work experience in office environment - desired

Experience managing cellular contracts - desired

Experience working in IT - desired

Experience in IT asset management or related field a strong asset

Must work in office, Hybrid and Remote work is not available
