Duties:

• Collaborate with senior attorneys to shape litigation strategy in malpractice defense cases

• Draft pleadings, legal briefs, memoranda, and discovery responses

• Analyze complex medical records to support defense arguments

• Represent clients at court appearances, depositions, and hearings

• Coordinate with medical experts for case evaluation and testimony

• Conduct in-depth legal and medical research

• Prepare and argue motions

• Engage directly with clients, providing strategic guidance and updates

Requirements:

• 2 to 7 years of litigation experience, specifically within the medical malpractice or healthcare domain

• Active license to practice law in New York

• Prior experience working with medical records and expert witnesses

• Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and contribute to team-based strategies

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar
