Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a Complex Litigation Associate Attorney to join its San Francisco office. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for attorneys with 2–8 years of experience to handle a broad range of high-stakes litigation matters, including general liability, personal injury, transportation, and catastrophic injury cases. Location:

• San Francisco, California

Duties:

• Independently manage a complex litigation caseload from inception through resolution

• Work closely with other attorneys and partners on case strategy and execution

• Conduct trial preparation, investigations, court appearances, mediations, and depositions

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other related legal documents

• Communicate with clients, providing regular case updates and strategic counsel

• Contribute to client meetings and support in-house counsel interactions

Requirements:

• 2–8 years of defense litigation experience

• Experience in defending personal injury, general liability, catastrophic injury, transportation, and related civil litigation matters preferred

• Prior client-facing experience is desirable

• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively

• Legal project management experience is beneficial

• Strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in the State of California

Skills:

• Superior analytical, research, and legal writing skills
