The candidate will undertake a variety of responsibilities related to real estate transactions, requiring strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills. The Real Estate Attorney will handle a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial real estate transactions. They will be responsible for drafting and reviewing legal documents, managing deadlines, and communicating with clients and other stakeholders.

Duties:

• Develop and refine legal skills by drafting and reviewing purchase and sale documents, leases, transfer documents, and other real estate-related agreements.
• Review title matters, contracts, surveys, and title commitments for accuracy and completeness.
• Attend purchase and lending closings, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
• Correspond with clients, paralegals, attorneys, realtors, and title companies to facilitate smooth transaction processes.
• Resolve day-to-day issues and support various real estate projects, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines effectively.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in the State of New York.
• Prior experience working in real estate law, preferably in transactions involving both residential and commercial properties.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize work assignments.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in legal research and analysis.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
