The candidate should have 2-5 years of experience defending civil litigation in state and federal courts. Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills are required. Experience investigating claims, preparing and responding to written discovery, taking and defending depositions, interacting with expert witnesses, and all aspects of motion practice. The ability to work both collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently, depending on the size and nature of the matter. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, the court, and opposing counsel. A desire to maintain and develop long-term client relationships, and actively participate in legal-related groups and associations.
