A law firm seeks a Consumer Finance Associate with 3-4 years of relevant experience to join its Financial Regulatory practice in Chicago, IL. The candidate will counsel various financial entities on federal and state financial laws and regulations.

Duties

• Counsel banks, credit unions, and FinTechs on financial regulations.
• Conduct financial regulatory and state licensing analyses.
• Interpret regulations and draft contracts and lending documents.
• Advise clients on compliance with financial regulations.
• Assist with regulatory enforcement investigations and actions.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of relevant experience in financial regulatory practice.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to client service and effective teamwork.
• Strong academic credentials.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing of the Bar where admitted.
• Timely admission to the Bar of the state where the office is located.

Skills

• Experience with financial regulatory and state licensing analyses.
• Ability to draft and negotiate contracts and lending documents.
• Experience advising on compliance with financial regulations.
