A law firm based in Canton, OH, is seeking a seasoned tax attorney to support its growing federal tax and corporate practice. This role presents an opportunity to take ownership of high-level client matters, work closely with leadership on complex transactions, and contribute meaningfully to the development of a strategic tax advisory group. Duties:

• Advise clients on intricate tax issues tied to business and corporate transactions

• Structure and execute federal tax planning strategies for mergers, acquisitions, and entity formations

• Navigate tax controversy matters in collaboration with firm leadership

• Contribute to the growth and refinement of the firm’s tax advisory capabilities

• Maintain client relationships by providing proactive legal guidance

• Coordinate with other legal practice groups on multi-disciplinary matters

• Take initiative in business development and client outreach

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in a law firm or accounting firm, with a focus on federal tax or business/corporate law

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with urgency and precision

• Strong analytical and communication skills; capable of working autonomously in a high-performance environment

• Proven ability to engage with and advise executive-level clients

• Must be licensed to practice law in Ohio or eligible for admission

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Ohio Bar admission, or the ability to obtain licensure
