Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior litigation associate to join their team in Walnut Creek, California. The ideal candidate will have 6 months to 3 years of litigation experience and a passion for consumer advocacy, particularly in cases against car manufacturers and dealers. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior attorneys and partners, gaining experience in various phases of litigation.

Duties

• Draft and review written discovery and document productions.
• Prepare and participate in oral arguments and depositions.
• Attend vehicle inspections with expert witnesses.
• Manage timely reporting and billing for hours worked.
• Assist with dispositive motions and trial preparation.

Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Member in good standing of the California Bar.
• At least 6 months of experience as a California licensed attorney.
• Interest in consumer protection and litigation.
• Proficient in MS Office, Westlaw, and Outlook.
• Willing to travel within California as needed.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Member in good standing of the California Bar.
