Job Overview

A distinguished law firm is seeking a skilled Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation Associate to join its legal team in Orange County. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex intellectual property disputes, including patent litigation, within a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent writing capabilities, and 2–5 years of experience in IP litigation. Technical degrees in engineering or computer science are considered an asset but are not mandatory. This position is offered through a legal recruitment agency on behalf of the firm.

Location

Duties

• Represent clients in intellectual property litigation matters

• Participate in patent litigation and related proceedings

• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and briefs

• Assist in managing case strategy and preparation for hearings and trials

• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to deliver high-quality legal services

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in intellectual property litigation

• At least some experience in patent litigation

• Demonstrated excellence in legal writing and research

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from a top-tier accredited law school

Certifications

• Active bar membership in good standing in the state of California or eligibility to waive in

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment

• Technical background (engineering or computer science) is a plus but not required
