Provide hands-on legal guidance to clients exploring avenues of financial reorganization or asset protection.
Evaluate financial disclosures and credit histories to recommend appropriate legal solutions under Ohio law.
Compose and file motions, schedules, reorganization plans, and other court documents in support of relief petitions.
Represent clients in court proceedings, trustee meetings, and negotiations with creditors and financial institutions.
Stay informed on evolving state and federal legal frameworks governing bankruptcy procedures and consumer finance.
Advise clients from initial intake through final discharge or resolution, ensuring compliance and strategic positioning.
Work collaboratively with in-house staff and external professionals to develop efficient, customized strategies for each case.
Licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio (required).
Has 1 to 6 years of hands-on experience in insolvency law or related practice areas.
Familiar with Chapters 7, 11, and 13, and capable of managing diverse caseloads with minimal oversight.
Comfortable in adversarial settings such as courtrooms, mediations, and trustee interviews.
Experience drafting a variety of legal filings, from stay motions to repayment plans, with a high degree of precision.
Holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
Exposure to financial, business, or tax law during legal education or internships is advantageous.
Detail-oriented and organized with an ability to juggle multiple matters simultaneously.
Strong communicator, able to explain complex legal concepts in simple, empathetic terms.
Independent thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable with digital tools used for legal research, case management, and court filings.
