Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Attorney in Atlanta, GA. The attorney will join the Bankruptcy Department and manage the full scope of the bankruptcy process, including plan confirmations, motions for relief, and adversary proceedings. Court appearances throughout Georgia may be required.

Duties

• Represent creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
• Review notices, correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Prepare and respond to written inquiries or disputes.
• Attend and present motions and hearings before Georgia courts.
• Participate in mediation sessions.
• Advise clients through all stages of the bankruptcy process.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
• Admission to the bar in Georgia (State, Federal, and Bankruptcy courts) with CM/ECF filing credentials.
• Minimum of two years' experience representing creditors in bankruptcy/insolvency matters.
• Strong knowledge of secured creditor issues.
• Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and with senior management.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the bar in Georgia (State, Federal, and Bankruptcy courts).
