Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Bellevue, WA is seeking a driven Litigation Associate with 2-5 years of civil litigation experience to join its dynamic team. This remote role offers the opportunity to engage in high-impact work representing individuals in personal injury and policyholder-related litigation. Duties:

• Partner closely with lead attorneys to handle all aspects of litigation, from initial evaluation through trial

• Participate in case screening and intake decision-making

• Draft pleadings, motions, and other essential legal documents

• Oversee and conduct discovery, including depositions and related strategy

• Negotiate settlements and communicate effectively with opposing counsel and insurers

• Engage in trial preparation and assist during proceedings

• Collaborate with support staff including paralegals and legal assistants

• Track work activities using internal systems (without billable hour targets)

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in Washington State

• 2-5 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in plaintiff-side matters

• Proficiency in litigation processes including motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation

• Ability to work autonomously and maintain consistent communication in a remote setting

• Demonstrated commitment to advocacy on behalf of individuals

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Washington State Bar

Skills:

• Strong legal writing and analytical abilities

• Confident in litigation strategy and courtroom presentation

• Excellent organizational and case management skills

• Tech-savvy with an aptitude for remote legal tools and platforms

Job Location:

• Bellevue, WA (Fully Remote - Candidates must be licensed in Washington State)
